Re: Mosquito Net
Hey there,
Thanks for your post.
The special luggage requirements for the Vietnam Explorer are; a sleeping sheet, a towel, sturdy trainers or walking boots and a daypack/rucksack. So there is no need for a mosquito net although it goes without saying that a decent repellent should be taken, one with a high DET factor.
I hope this helps,
All the best,
Robert

Re: Mosquito Net
I asked a while ago about the trainers and i've bought sandals instead.
Do you think the Teva doser (seen http://www.teva.com/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=6704&model=DOZER&mnu=mens) will be ok?
I talked to the guy in Millets when i bought them and also to a guy in Blacks and they both agreed they be fine.
Also, is a sleeping sheet the same as a silk mummy sleeping thing?

Hey there,
Thanks for your post.
The most important thing is that you are happy with your decision and feel that they are appropriate for the intended trip. The guys are Millets and Blacks know what they are talking about so if they consider them ok, I imagine they will be fine.
A sleeping sheet is a cloth liner that can be used either on its own or inside a sleeping bag. These can be purchased locally and a lot cheaper than in UK shops.
