My boyfriend and I are thinking of booking onto this tour. My boyfriend however is not a good swimmer and was aprehensive about the bamboo rafting. Is this suitable for poor swimmers? are life jackets provided? Also how easy it it to get to Pattaya or Ko Samui form Bangkok to spend a few days on the beech at the end of the tour and is this something Im Trav could arrange for us? Thanks

Re: Northern Explorer

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for your question.

We take the safety of our travellers very seriously and everybody taking part in the rafting is required to wear a life jacket throughout the experience, which are provided at the start of the trek.

It's not generally too rough and most people don't end up in the water unless they jump in so your boyfriend shouldn't have any problems with his life-jacket on. It's really good fun so it would be a shame to miss out.

You can get to anywhere from Bangkok and we can usually help with your onward travel plans. Just let us know at the time of booking and we'll run through the options with you.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Brendan
