Hi
As the name suggests, I'm completely new to ImTrav and this kind of travel in general, and yet I seem to have gone and booked myself on the Lao Wanderer trip. (Argh!)
I've had a look at the dossier, but as far as I can see it doesn't say if I should bring a mosquito net or if the guesthouses have them. Has anyone done this trip and can help?
cheers
Ruth

Re: Question on Lao Wanderer - 1st Dec
Hi Newbie
Thanks for your post.
Although the hotels don't usually provide mosquito nets, they do have separate nets on the windows to stop insects getting in, and have air conditioning. This means that you don't need to take a net of your own.
Have a great trip!!

Re: Question on Lao Wanderer - 1st Dec
I just did the Laos Wandered (Nov 3 departure - Ian was the guide, Brenda was training). Didn't need a mosquito net at any of the places we stayed. I would, however, advise you to take something for motion sickness if you have ever experienced it even remotely. You'll need it for the bus ride from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, and possibly on the fastboat ride. I had a FANTASTIC time - tell Brenda (or Ian if he's running it) Shelly sends a big hug her/his way.
