Return travel from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City

We are considering joining one of the Vietnam tours but our flight arrives and departs from Ho Chi Minh City and I notice that all of the tours finish in Hanoi. Can any one please advise of the best way to return back to Ho Chi Minh City from Hanoi for our flight?
