We're thinking of doing the Thailand Encompassed. Does anyone know what the "beach bungalows " at Koh Pha Ngan are like? Read a report of those at Krabi not so good. We'd stay for extra days if they're ok.

really good! theyre clean and really close to the beach. theres just one huge double bed in it, but plenty of room! theres a fan, and ure own private bathroom, and theres a little veranda style thing to sit on if u want. believe me, u wont want to leave its soooooo beautiful! Go to Hat Rin if u get the chance, cos its great! we managed to get a boat there, and came back about 1am, the water was bright green because of the phosphoresence. there are cheap (fake) cds there, but theyre cheaper elsewhere! there are internet facilities and loads of restaurants, plus some good bars. its a really beautiful place to go, but make sure you take any food/supplies that you think you might need, cos theres very little available and its much more expensive than elsewhere. when you arrive of the boat there are a few 'supermarket' style places which sell stuff, but its cheaper on the mainland. Have a brill trip if u go, its really worth doing. Plus, you can easily get a ferry to Koh Samui from there, and a thats supposed to be just as nice. Theres an airport on Samui, and i think u cud get a reasonable flight back to Bangkok if thats where u fly back from.

Ive stayed in a beach bungalow in Krabi- they are fine!! Dunno what people are complaining about.

Krabi is gorgeous, the beaches are stunning, itsnot over touristy but there is plenty to do. Id recommend it.
