I'm thinking of going on one of the adventurer trips to Thailand and / or Malaysia around July or August time. Is the weather there at this time of year a big problem? Is there anyone around who's done this in the summer who can tell me what it's like? I'm just a bit worried about sleeping in non air conditioned rooms at night if it's going to be stupidly hot. I'm sorry if it sounds like a daft question, but I've never really been abroad anywhere very hot so looking up the temperatures on the internet doesnt really help, I need someone to tell me what it's actually like.
Also I know it's rainy season in Thailand at that time of year but I'm hoping it wont disrupt things too much
Thanks ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Re: Thailand / Malaysia summer weather
The weather at this time of year is not a problem unless you suffer from heat i.e. heat stroke.
Although the rainy season is still in full swing the rain is not cold and bitter like the UK. It's rather like a warm shower, an inconvenience but not a major problem. I suggest you pack some lightweight clothing and a pocket poncho.
Air conditions is included in the accommodation on the adventure style tours i.e. Bangkok and when it's not there are ceiling fans which are quite adequate. In the tree houses on the Wilderness Adventure the height and winds keep the rooms cool.
I would suggest that you have a look at silk liners that fit inside sleeping bags as these will keep you cool during the night whilst under cover.
