I was thinking about going on the Beyond the Ho Chi Minh Trail trip late this summer. In checking the availibity I noticed that there are no people (or maybe 1 person) signed up for the 29July or 5Aug trips. Is there some reason not to do this tour at those times (i.e., brutal weather)? Also, what are the chances that these tours will be cancelled? I am starting school in September, and early August will be the only chance I have to travel. Any advice would be great.

Re: Vietnam in August
Dear Frontenac551,
Thank you for your post. The minimum number of passengers per tour is 4. Having said that, if you decided to book onto either of the tours you mentioned (the 29th July or the 5th August), then it is more likely that the tour would go ahead (although this obviously depends on the passengers already booked and cannot be guaranteed).
Weather-wise, there seems to be no particularly good or bad time to visit Vietnam, due to the size of the country. A useful link is the Lonely Planet's Vietnam information below:
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/destinations/south_east_asia/vietnam/
This can give you lots of detailed information on the country and its seasons.
I hope this is helpful.
Regards,
Kelly
