Just trying to mentally prepare myself (if the need arises).

If it rains when we're hiking through the minority villages, are there leaches that will be coming out? I'll be there in October.

Has anyone been on this trip & has feedback (besides my one questions)? I'm quite excited!

Thanks

Re: Vietnam Explorer - trek

Hi Denise, I did this trek in March.. It was great fun and an amazing experience. It did not rain while I was on the trek so I can't really comment on your leeches question (didn't see any). I would recommend you take a bag that straps across your waist / chest as it could get sore on your shoulders, a sleep sheet and also my knees were a bit sore after the descent so you may want to take a stick of some description? And finally - be prepared for very very basic washing / toliet facilities - I didn't take any fip flops / sandals to wear at the homestays which I wish I had done. I did take some of that water free hand wash stuff which proved to be very handy! Hope you have a good time...
