So I want to do a tour of Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos, which require visas.
I've almost narrowed it down to which tour I want to do but the tour would start in 6 or 7 weeks from now.
I could be sending off my application form and passport photos to the embassies within the next week or two.
I will be in Canberra on an unrelated trip just 1 or 2 weeks before I plan to take my trip and could visit each of the 3 embassies in person to get things processed, and I could take my passport-sized photos and filled-out application forms also. However being only a week or two before my tour I don't know if this is enough time.
Would I be risking it by visiting the embassies with 1 or 2 weeks before I leave?
Also, the Singapore embassy website says any members of Commonwealth countries (including my home country Australia) do not need a visa to enter the country.
Does anyone know if I can do this more than 30 days apart? I would only be in Singapore for a total of 1 or 2 days either side of a month-long Indochina tour I'm planning to book soon.
I'm considering flights from Australia to Singapore return, then Singapore to Bangkok return. Both times connecting between flights in may have a day layover and want to visit Singapore for the day, and possibly Johor Bahru in Malaysia just across the Singapore border.
Does anyone know if I can do all of this?

Re: Visiting Singapore before/after Indochina tour, and visa pro
Hi Shanojebs,
Thanks for your questions.
It sounds like there are no problems with your plan. Since you will be chatting directly with the embassies of each country you will be visiting it is they who will be able to give you the best advice on whether or not you have adequate time to obtain each of the visas that you require.
For most Western countries a visa is not required for Thailand or Singapore, can be obtained on arrival into Laos and Cambodia but is required in advance for Vietnam.
That said, a visa cannot always be obtained on the border and the application procedure can change from time to time so my advice is to speak with the embassies directly and calculate how long each application will take and obtain as many of your visas as possible before your tour.
Whilst applying you can double-check with the embassy how likely it is that you will be able to get your visa on arrival into that country.
I hope this helps?
Regards,
Brendan
