Hi
I have just booked to do the following tours:
Vietnam Explorer starting on 11 May,
Majestic Angkor starting 31 May from Ho Chi Minh City, and have a few questions, please:

Firstly, anyone else out there booked on these? Would be good to hear from you

Secondly, after finishing up in Bangkok I am travelling on to Australia for a further 10 months or so of backpacking. Therefore I will potentially be carrying my 75 litre backpack and kit for this further trip, while on the imtrav tours. Will it be possible to leave this somewhere at various points on the tour and take a smaller daysack with me (for example while we are trekking to the Hilltribes in VN) or will I have to carry it with me at all stages. This will influence me in what kit I take from the UK and what I buy in Bangkok.

Thirdly, I understand that we can obtain visas for Cambodia en route to the border, but we should get Vietnam visas beforehand.

And lastly (!) for the VN visa I am required to state the day of entry and of exit. Your brochure doesn't have an itinerary for the Majestic Angkor trip from Saigon to Bangkok, but I guess that for the trip beginning 31 May we would be leaving Vietnam on 1st June?

Many thanks
I can't wait to go!
Stu

Hi Stu,
Yes, we use the Hong Ngoc in Hanoi and generally you could leave your main stuff behind and just take what you need for the trekking and Ha Long Bay section.

You'll love both!

Hi,
Sorry l didn't scroll down to the other questions! Yes you can get the Cambodian visa en route to the border. THe Vietnamese are strict (but not too strict) about your arrival date. lf you do arrive on a different day you will have to talk your way through. The departure date isn't as important as long as you don't overstay, but yes your could specify 1st of June.
