I'm thinking seriously about doing one of the Iran trips (haven't decided which), but am wondering whether you have many Americans who do this and if anyone knows how painful it is to get a visa-- especially at present. Despite our wonderful president's ridiculous axis of evil comment, I think it's just a fascinating place.
I don't know if it matters for Iran, but I spent some time in Egypt and Israel a few years ago, so I have a couple of Israeli stamps in my passport as well.
One other question-- does everyone fly into Tehran, or is it at all possible to come in overland? (I'm thinking along the lines of maybe starting from Turkey)
Thanks,
Eryn

Re: americans on iran tours?
Dear Eryn,
If you have any evidence that you have been to Israil in your passport, your visa will be refused so if you want to visit Iran you need to get a new passport. The visas for Americans are not harder to get then the other nationalities.
Also you can go overland to Iran from Turkey once you get your visa.
I hope this information will be enough for you.
