Hello Everyone,
As our Anzac Day draws to a close here in Australia I hope all has gone well in Gallipoli & that there hasn't been any problems with terrorists.
My thoughts have been with you during the day.

Re: Anzac Day
Thanks Debbie,
There hasn't been any problems with Terorism in Turkey so everybody who joined the Anzac tour had a good time( and we had 3 groups at Gallipoli for Anzac Day)

Re: Anzac Day
Hi Debbie,
I've been to lots and lots of ANZAC DAY ceremonies and one thing it does do apart from educate our youth further to the horrors and futility of war is supply the local people in the Eceabat and Canakkale area their only one chance of creating income for the whole year. Your thoughts are welcome but just mentioning terrorism in Turkey is irresponsible. You will only hurt the beautiful local people who live in peace and deserve to continue to do so. Terrorism has been no more an issue in Turkey as it is in Leichtenstein (wherever that is!)
Give Turkey a chance please, it is a great country with fantastic sites and wonderful people.

Re: Anzac Day
Hello Don,
Thank you for your reply, as yet I haven't visited Turkey but hope to make it there "oneday". My Grandfather was at the landing of Gallipoli & told us of the terrible things he saw...& did. After Gallipoli he was sent to France, where he was gassed in the trenches with mustard gas & finally sent home....medically unfit.
It was reported on the News here that terrorists had managed to get over the border into Turkey & that they were planning something for the ceremony at Gallipoli. My statement wasn't made with the intention of hurting anyone....just to let them know I was thinking of them & wishing them well.
