my first time to Turkey...who's going and who's been? how cold in May in the eastern part? just starting to think about what clothes to take.

Hi Deb,

The temperature in May is usually in the region of around 20 Celsius. Bear in mind that the weather can vary and could well be hotter or cooler so take appropriate clothing to deal with the cold. We do suggest that you bring warm clothing and even a sleeping bag if you tour includes the train journey.
