I am considering three options to visit Turkey in summer 2006: Turkey Wild Adventure or Turkey Land and Sea (or just do an independent trip). I'd rather not be alone, but want to see some things not on some of these itineraries (i.e. hike to Chimaera, Simena, etc.). Plus I am a young 47yr old single female (who doesn't mind some physical activities; I like sea kayaking, tennis, etc.) So, how do you choose between these two packages??

Re: Choice of tour in Turkey
Hi cctoot,
Thanks for your posting.
I am biased, but reading your post I would probably recommend the Wild Turkey Adventure to you. I did this tour in 2004 and it is pretty active, which sounds like something you would enjoy.
You do get the chance to hike to Chimaera on this tour (when staying at Olympos on day 6, after the rafting) - it's good fun but remember to take a torch for the hill in the dark!
Activities on this tour that you might like include plenty of walking round Cappadocia, rafting, 2 days trekking, the gulet cruise (you can do snorkelling, swimming, parasailing), and other walking at other sites such as Ephesus and Bergama. When I was on the tour there was also an optional stop in Troy although this does depend on the time available.
I hope this helps - have a great time whichever one you do.
