My husband and I are travelling to Iran this summer to visit his family. My mother would like to join us, but is having trouble getting a visa. Relatives in Iran have applied to the Foreign Ministry office in Tehran three weeks ago, and about two months ago we applied at the Iranian Interests Office in Washington, DC. So far, no answer from either office. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas to help us speed up the process?

Your local travel agent should have the details of a reliable visa service. Although you will have to pay, a visa service can really help speed up the process - especially for those tricky visas.
