I'm seriously considering going on the Iranian Trails holiday in June. Because the costs of flights to Tehran seem to vary wildly, I want to book the flight first.
Can you advise the best time to get to Tehran before joining the tour (I'm assuming at least 24hours before??). Also giving similar consideration to getting back to UK, ie would expect to leave 24hr+ after the end of the tour.
Any thoughts/advice? Any appreciated!

Your arrival and departure time to and from Tehran is completely up to you.
Many people just arrive on day 1 of the tour (arrival day). Normally there is no planned itinerary for this day, as this is just for checking in to the hotel and meeting up with the group during the evening at some time, once everyone has arrived.
The tour leader will have posted information in the hotel lobby to keep you informed as to when you will all meet up etc...
If you feel you would like to arrive a day or two earlier, then this can be very beneficial, allowing you to settle in to your surroundings and get over the flight before meeting up with the group. You may book these extra nights at our meeting point hotel. This can be arranged if you make a booking.
The tour ends in Tehran 11 days later on a Sunday. Officially it ends after breakfast on this day, so there is no problem with getting your flight during the afternoon to go back home. Many people fly home straight after the tour, while others choose to travel on independently or just stay a couple of extra nights at our end point hotel.
Again these extra nights can be booked through our reservations team.
