Are there any places still available on the Jewels of Turkey tours in Sept 2002 or October 2002? I'm very keen to be on one of those tours.Don't worry, I found the availability eye. Ignore the illiterate computer user. You might be able to tell me the easiest way from Greece to Istanbul though.

Re: Jewels of Turkey

Dear Sknightie,

There are availabilites in both tours. For the September departure there are few places left.If you want September you better hurry and book the tour.

There are trains and buses between Athens to Istanbul. The trains are daily but there are only 2-3 bus departures a week.
The train trip is around 36 hours and bus is 24 hours.

I hope you will book the trip,

Re: Jewels of Turkey

Do you know how expensive the train or buses are? I am travelling by myself. Which is the saffest option? I have booked a tour. I am hopefully going on the Oct 14th one. Is there any particular weather conditionsie clothing that I need to plan for?

Re: Jewels of Turkey

Dear Sknightie,

Good to hear that you booked the tour.
Train trip(6 people in a cabin) is about 25-30 USD per person one way and the bus is around the same price.

Both ways of travelling are safe, the only difference is train is more regular and bus takes shorter.

October is pleasant in Turkey.Generally the wheather is around 20 C .In central Anatolia(Cappadocia Area) is a bit cool at night so some warm clothes will be helpful.

I am sure you will have good time in Greece and Turkey.

Cheers,

Yavuz

Re: Jewels of Turkey

Hi sknightie, my name is Lisa and I'm booked for the Jewels of Turkey tour which starts October 14. I was just curious if you have indeed booked this same trip?

I'm coming from Calgary, Canada and will be travelling by myself too. I travelled with ImTrav last year to Egypt and they were fantastic so I know this tour will be just as much fun and as well organized. I'm looking forward to it very much.

Hope to hear from you!
