Due to the cancellation of our booked tour my wife and I have rescheduled onto an earlier one. To enable us to do this we have to arrive in Istanbul 2 days prior to the tour startdate.
I am trying to establish what we should see prior to the tour proper. Naturally we do not want to double up on some sights and miss out on others
From the tour notes we see that there is a scheduled walking tour of Sultanahmet. Can you advise me the points of interest that we visit on this walk?
Given the time it takes to see Topkapi Palace I expect that this won't be on the agenda so we can see this by ourselves

Thank you for your post.
On our walking tour the group visits St Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Water Cistern and the Hippodrome.
Other places you could visit in your free days are are Archeological museum, Topkapi Palace, and the Islamic Art museum - these are all in walking distance from the hotel.
You could also do a Bhosporus Cruise, visit Suleymaniye Mosque, Chora Church...
