Hi,
I am thinking of going on the Turkey Land and Sea trip in June/July 2006.
Has anyone been on this trip before and can give some advice/tips?
Also, here's a curly one... how does Imaginative Traveller compare to other tour companies? I have travelled to Egypt with Gecko's before and absolutely loved it. However, Gecko's don't offer an in-depth trip of Turkey, which is why I'm thinking Imaginative Traveller.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Gezbelle,
Obviously as an employee of the Imaginative Traveller it's not something that I can really comment on! Obviously we hope you choose to travel with us and it will be interesting to see what other travellers have to say![[Smile]](smile.gif)
Re: Turkey Land and Sea 2006
Hi Gezbelle,
Did this tour in 2003 & had a great time. Istanbul, Cappadocia & Termessos were highlights of the trip. Have travelled to Egypt & France with Explore & found Imaginative similar, though maybe Explore's accommodation was slighly better.
Had two young Turkish guys as guides (cant remember their names), they were both helpful & knowledgable.
Criticisms, none really, a couple of long days driving, which cant be avoided, and there were only 3 of us on the tour, which was good & bad (lots of room on the gulet!!) & as always with a group tour your enjoyment may depend upon your fellow travellers.

Enjoy!!!!

Re: Turkey Land and Sea 2006
Hi DC,
Thank you for the info.
The only real worry I have would be is there enough time to explore the different places. I have heard of stories with another tour company where the tours are pretty full-on and everything seemed to be packed into a few days and it was rush, rush, rush.
BTW, does Imaginative Traveller use local tour leaders?
Thanks,
G.
Re: Turkey Land and Sea 2006
Hello,
Imtrav uses a number of tours leaders from all around the world in any number of locations though generally where best suited. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that anyone particular tour leader will be leading your tour otherwise I would check.
For a more detailed itinerary and a good indication of the free time allocated during the tour please have a look at the trip dossier available from this web page .
