Guatemala, what an amazing place. The lakes surrounded by volcanoes cant be beat. The HUGE mayan site of Tikal buried in the jungle, crawling with wildlife, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, and Coati's, is unforgettable. And the Mayan people are still VERY much alive in Guatemala, and are some of the nicest people on the planet, and produce tons of brightly colored textiles and just about everything else you can think of!
