My wife and I currently live in Japan, and maintain a blog that we started when I lived in Saudi Arabia about a year and a half ago. We do a lot of travel with our jobs, and having a blog seemed like a pretty good way of keeping our friends and family abreast of what we'd been up to. Now that we're back together under the same roof, we keep it up, and try to post fairly regularly. Usually, that means when we do something 'blogworthy'.
Since I'm in Japan now, there's not much of the "sand" part of the title, but periodically I'll dig through some old pics and post them to keep the title relevant.
We're getting ready to go on the "Majestic Angkor" trip soon, which will result in a crop of new entries. May blog while on the road, but still not sure if we want to drag along the laptop. Probably, it will happen when we get back.
Check it out. Root through some of the links on the side to a few of our other favorite blogs and sites as well. Sand and Tsunamis Version 1.0 has most of the "sandy" pictures, including an epic journey through Saudi Arabia's Empty Quarter, complete with mirings in the sand, detention by the authorities, and eating freshly killed lamb. Go have a look!
