I just brought a few disposable cameras.
If I did it again I'd bring a digital. There are lots of shops that'll burn memory cards onto cds for you so you can take lots of pics.

Are there many opportunities to recharge your digital camera on this trip? If not, I'm sure I'd burn through a ton of batteries!

Thanks for your question.
It is possible to charge your batteries whilst you are on this tour but only whilst you are staying in hotels, not whilst you are out in the jungle staying with the locals.
I'm actually doing the first part of this tour later in the week and am taking both some rechargeable batteries and a couple of spares for use in emergencies.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure how many days of batteries I'd need to bring. Looks like I'll prepare for 3 days between chargings. Then it's all up to how many pictures I can manage to take. Usually I'm too busy experiencing the trip to remember to take photos of it!
