Imaginative travellers 'should visit Africa during green season'

Tuesday, December 01, 2009

Travellers planning on visiting Africa in the near future have been advised by travel marketing and representation agency Kamili to head there during the green season.

According to the company, the continent's rainy period of the year means that adventure-bound holidaymakers could get better value for money on the cost of trips and avoid tourists during this time.

Despite some rain to be expected throughout the day, travellers who want to go on safari were encouraged that the wet weather can often bring the best out of Africa's scenery and wildlife.

Suggesting some of the best places to witness the vast continent's spectacular natural life, Kamili advised visitors to try Botswana's Chobe National Park or Mapula Lodge in the northern Okavango Delta.

In addition, the South Luangwa and Kafue national parks in Zambia could also be an ideal place for imaginative travellers to experience a safari.

Lonely Planet also encourages wildlife lovers to visit the Moremi Game Reserve and Nxai Pan National Park in Botswana.
