Adventure travellers urged to head to NZ
Wednesday, March 10, 2010New Zealand could be the perfect location for imaginative explorers hoping to go on an adventure holiday this year after it was explained that there are excellent ski facilities in the country.
According to Lake Wanaka Tourism, the region is ideal for keen skiers, who could head to the Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Ski Area.
The body stated that Treble Cone "is renowned as much for its spectacular views as it is for its exhilarating terrain and unforgettable powder days", while Cardrona's "high elevation and wide-open slopes" could make it appealing for family adventure holidays.
Furthermore, it suggested that imaginative travellers could get good value for money if they purchase the Lake Wanaka Ski Pass, a five-day anytime lift card for both resorts.
Winter in the southern hemisphere occurs from June to August, so adventure travellers who love to ski may want to forgo the traditional sunny summer holiday in favour of some snow.
