Environmentally sustainable safari trips are becoming increasingly important as climate change threatens the habitats of a variety of animals across the world.
Now, visitors to South Africa are able to ensure their presence does not harm the ecology of the region.
The Examiner reports that Imbali Safari Lodge in the heart of South Africa's Kruger National Park has been designed along eco-sensitive principles that are aimed at ensuring the resort helps the local environment rather than destroying it.
Situated in 10,000 hectares within the park itself, the lodge offers visitors an opportunity to watch the wide variety of wild animals in their natural habitat.
The resort's 12 private chalets overlook the Nwatsitswonto riverbed and although there are a number of leisure facilities within the compound, it is no surprise that the main activity of visitors to the resort is watching the variety of wildlife that live in the area.
Kruger National Park offers a wide variety of places for visitors to stay while enjoying a safari trip and the website explains that the lodges range from "artistically elegant to super luxurious".
