Celebrity couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand are among the imaginative travellers enjoying a romantic holiday in India during the December festive season.
The Waking Up In Vegas singer posted a picture of the well-travelled pair - they also ventured to Austria earlier this month - in front of the Taj Mahal, to her Twitter account.
She wrote: "In India, the motto is ... you gotta go with the flow."
The structure is considered to be one of the most romantic buildings in the world and was built in Agra from 1631 to 1648.
It was built in honour of the third and favourite wife of Shah Jahan, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth, and it was declared to be a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1983.
According to Unesco, the Taj Mahal is one of the most universally-admired historical masterpieces and is the "jewel of Muslim art in India".
British actor and comedian Brand is one of more than 796,000 British tourists who visit India each year, according to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The government group advises that UK holidaymakers travelling to India carry copies of their passport, flight ticket and tourist visa and keep them separate from the original documents on their trip.
