Borneo's Malaysian state, Sabah, is a great place to take family adventure holidays.
This is according to television personality Fiona Bruce, who recently went there with her husband and two children and told the Telegraph she had a fantastic time.
She said the intrepid group enjoyed a trip down the Klias River, where they searched for proboscis monkeys - Borneo is the only place they can be seen in the wild - and saw the trees lit up by fireflies in the evening.
The children's holiday highlight was the orangutan sanctuary, which allowed visitors to feed the orphaned animals, while Bruce's favourite part was a visit to the tribal longhouse in Siou do Mohoing, where headhunters once lived.
She described Borneo as 'spot on' when it came to entertaining the family and experiencing a different culture.
In related news, research from the University of York has suggested that climate change could be affecting Bornean insects on Mount Kinabalu, with moths moving further up the mountain in order to avoid rising temperatures.
