Imaginative travellers who like nothing more than to immerse themselves in a destination's culture have been advised to head to Brescia, in Northern Italy.
According to city councillor Andrea Arcai, Brescia is an ideal getaway for visitors looking for a traditional Italian town with a rich, artistic and architectural legacy.
He added that such is the beauty of the location, Unesco hopes to get the city's Roman Temple, Monastery of San Salvatore and Santa Giulia, Roman Square and Roman area included in the world heritage list.
Mr Arcai went on to explain that for these reasons, imaginative travellers could find it a perfect destination.
"The kind of tourists that we have in town are not only business or industrial tourists but also, more importantly, cultural tourists," he said.
Brescia Tourism recently revealed details of its new Inca exhibition, which will take place between December 4th 2009 and June 27th 2010 at the Santa Giula Museum.
