Being prepared is the key to a stress-free holiday, especially if imaginative travellers are visiting a new and exotic destination, one travel add-ons company has said.
According to a survey carried out by HolidayExtras, 73 per cent of British travellers named getting to their holiday tour destination as the most worrying part of their trip.
"Travelling can be extremely stressful, particularly if you're not prepared," explained Mike Whitling, managing editor at the company.
Relationships expert at the firm James Rye added that not knowing whether children will be happy and concerns over getting into trouble with the language barrier can lead to stress before arriving in the resort.
Some levels of tension are normal and Mr Rye noted that it was important to compromise with loved ones as some things are not worth getting worked up about.
In other research from HolidayExtras recently, 42 per cent of British imaginative travellers claimed that spending quality time with family was the best part of taking a trip, followed by exploring a new destination.
