Holidaymakers are still not getting the best deals when it comes to exchanging their travel money as they are confused by fluctuating exchange rates.
This is according to Dan Moore, senior researcher at Which? Money, who gave some advice to imaginative travellers on how to get the most from their currency.
"What you need to be doing is avoiding paying charges you don't need to pay. For example, don't buy currency online where you have to pay with a card and will be charged," he explained.
Mr Moore added that by doing this, travellers may as well withdraw their cash from an ATM once they arrive in their holiday destination.
According to FairFX, who published a report on August 17th, only four per cent of Brits who took part in a poll knew that there may still be a cost even if foreign currency is advertised as commission-free.
Tesco Travel Money found that 48 per cent of imaginative travellers search for a competitive deal on their holiday money.
