Travellers looking for inspiration on possible destinations for their next adventure trip could find that Belize is ideal.
Situated in Central America, north of Honduras and north-west of Guatemala, the location is described by Lonely Planet as having "one foot planted in the Central American jungles and the other dipped in the Caribbean Sea".
In addition, it stated that Belize offers visitors the chance to go snorkelling, kayaking and trekking through ancient ruins.
And the country's tourist board recently explained that it headed to the recent Annual Los Angeles Times Travel & Adventure Show to try and promote the destination to a wider audience.
The body said that it particularly highlighted the region's spectacular reef, rainforest, culture and archaeology to those in attendance at the exhibition, which took place from February 13th to 14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, US.
Other exhibitors at the event included the South African Tourism Office, China National Tourist Office and the Egyptian Tourist Authority.
