Imaginative explorers could get tips at travel show

Monday, January 04, 2010

Adventure-bound families and imaginative travellers looking for inspiration for their next trip might be interested in heading to the Destinations: Holiday and Travel Show, taking place at London's Earl's Court from February 4th to 7th.

The event is also running at the NEC arena in Birmingham between March 5th and 7th.

Destinations provides families with the chance to check out the locations they want to visit next, regardless of the age of children being taken.

And the Czech Republic has been sounded out as a country that could appeal to such families, as well as the island of Zanzibar.

In addition, Central American country Belize might be perfect for a family of imaginative travellers, due to the "beautiful Caribbean waters" of its eastern coastline, "ancient Mayan ruins" and "the second largest barrier reef in the world".

Lonely Planet states that visitors to the country should check out Caye Chaulker, Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Dangriga.
