If sun, secret beaches and wonderful scenery are your thing then heading to Romania, Albania or Slovenia this summer might be a good idea.
According to flight comparison company Skyscanner, holidaymakers can get more for less by heading to beach resorts in these undiscovered locations.
Romania, the website advises, is more famous for being the birthplace of Count Dracula than it is for sandy beaches, but it is these stretches of golden shorelines that will greet the imaginative traveller this summer.
"All for a lot less dosh than in the Med[iterannean]," says Skyscanner.
Meanwhile, Slovenia has been keeping its 43 kilometre slither of beautiful beaches under tight wraps, but according to the travel website Portoroz is now causing a stir in the holiday world.
Similarly, Albania is making a splash.
"Virtually untouched by mainstream tourism, sun seekers will enjoy Albania's 450 miles worth of Adriatic and Ionian coastline," says the company.
Albania's tourist board concurs, advising potential visitors that the nation is becoming one of the globe's "most interesting" holiday destinations.
