Croatia 'could be ideal for adventure travel'

Monday, March 08, 2010

Imaginative explorers hoping to head out on an adventure holiday this year have been told that Croatia could be their ideal destination.

According to Hidden Croatia, the country is currently growing in popularity among British holidaymakers as a result of favourable currency exchange rates, good links from UK airports and top-of-the-range accommodation available at affordable prices.

And Alan Brown, who works at the firm, suggested that the nation could equally appeal to those with a sense for adventure.

He stated that its idyllic beaches and beautiful islands make it the perfect place on which to embark on an activity or sailing holiday.

"Here [travellers] take out a boat and sail to one on the many uninhabited islands to play Robinson Crusoe for the day. Croatia is just not a place you could ever get bored in," he said.

Once finished island hopping, imaginative explorers may also be interested in visiting Varazdin, Pula or Samobor, as recommended by Lonely Planet.
