Imaginative travellers heading on a trip to Italy in the near future have been advised to learn a few words in the language to ensure they can properly immerse themselves in the country's culture.
According to global sales director of Cheap Flights Francesca Ecsery, Italy currently offers good value for money for explorers and is a fantastic destination for enjoying the local way of life.
"Whether in a small beach town on the Amalfi Coast or in the buzzing metropolis of Rome, you're surrounded by lively personalities, beautiful architecture and, not least of all, outstanding food," she said.
She added that a great way to truly experience this is to learn some Italian phrases, as this will make it easier to communicate with people and show Italians to be very friendly people.
It is a beautiful language too, she explained.
Online comparison service Travel Supermarket recently found that 16 per cent of Brits are more likely to go on holiday in 2010 than in the previous six months.
