There are activities to suit all tastes on a holiday to Poland from adventure sports to sights for transport enthusiasts, the tourist board has said.
For those visiting the Wielkopolska region of western Poland, there are many opportunities to partake in activities such as horse riding, canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking and golf.
The region's capital city, Poznan, has "a multitude of charming spots and fantastic cultural events" that make the destination "a very special place".
Imaginative travellers with an interest in locomotives may find the town of Wolsztyn particularly interesting as it is the only place in Europe to house and service steam trains which run on mainline tracks.
Visitors to the depot can take a trolley ride and visit a fire service museum while taking in the active steam locomotive engine house.
Western Poland shares a border with Germany and the area is also home to the medieval cities of Szczecin and Wroclaw.
The Drawno National Park is also located within the region.
