Britons hoping to embark on a family adventure or small group holiday this year might be interested in heading to New Zealand next month for the Pasifika Festival.
According to Tourism New Zealand, the event, which is to take place in Auckland from March 8th onwards, is now even bigger and better than it was before.
"Traditionally a one-day celebration of Pacific music, food and culture, Pasifika has now been developed into an eight-day event," it explained.
A series of concerts will kick off the celebrations, with Hawaii's Mana Maoli Collective sitting at the top of the bill.
In addition, the grand festival finale is expected to attract more than 200,000 people, where there will be over 350 stalls serving up fresh, local cuisine and 12 stages showcasing performances spanning hip hop, reggae and traditional dance.
Lonely Planet suggests those in the country should visit Abel Tasman National Park, Kaikoura and Raglan.
