Families looking to embark on an adventure holiday might want to head to France as the popularity of such pursuits there has not diminished, it has been claimed.
Sean Tipton, spokesperson for the Association of British Travel Agents, has said that the country - and Brittany in particular - is still a firm favourite for family getaways.
The industry expert explained that camping trips are continuing to entice holidaymakers to the region, which he described as the second most popular destination in the country behind Paris.
Explaining the attraction of this kind of vacation, he said: "It's the food, beautiful countryside, it's often very good value as well compared with the UK and the climate is better than most of the UK."
The accumulated amount of passenger traffic in Europe's airways in January and February this year increased by four per cent when compared with the same time period 12 months before.
