France "is perfect" for family travellers

A spokeswoman for Cottages4you stated the country is "perfect" for close relatives because of the choice of activities on offer, "whatever your interests and whatever the weather".
She noted the range of beaches, market towns and countryside can provide a suitable backdrop for a family vacation.
Its location also means British travellers will not have to endure a long-haul flight to reach the region and also offers the opportunity to drive across by car, she explained.
The specialist added that a French cottage could provide ideal accommodation as its self-catering option allows families to budget appropriately and choose to either dine out in restaurants or eat in their own private space.
According to new research from Eurostar, over 84 per cent of British travellers would rather travel by train to the continent than by aeroplane.
