Families of imaginative travellers are increasingly heading to destinations that lie outside of the eurozone, Takethefamily.com has revealed.
According to the travel company, families who are unprepared to put up with the poor British weather are either heading further afield to try and get better value for money on their trips due to more favourable currency exchanges available in such places.
Editor of the website Rhonda Carrier commented that people are increasingly wanting to go "outside the eurozone to cheaper but relatively close eastern European or North African destinations such as Croatia and Morocco, or fly further in the search for luxury on a budget".
She added that Kenya, South Africa, Tunisia, Mexico and Bulgaria are expected to see a boost in popularity during 2010.
According to research carried out by the company, 92 per cent of parents are keen on adding an aspect of learning to their family holidays - dubbed eduvacations.
