Imaginative travellers heading on gap years have been encouraged to consider Australian working holidays.
According to Australian Visa Bureau director Guy Bradley, this type of adventure holiday offers tourists the chance to earn some money at the same time as enjoying good weather and freedom.
He also suggested that September is the "perfect time" to head down under as it is the start of spring in the country.
"The beauty of an Australian working holiday is that it is the true spirit of adventure, of freedom and an opportunity to make of it whatever you wish," Mr Bradley explained.
Many people from the UK travel to Australia every year and it is a popular stop-off point for a lot of travellers on their gap years.
The nation offers fantastic nightlife in the city areas, as well as the opportunity to explore the great outdoors. An adventure holiday in Australia could involve trips to see some of the country's extensive wildlife, which includes kangaroos and koala bears.
