Many British people over the age of 50 have admitted to being more adventurous now than they were in their youth.
A study by specialist insurance provide RIAS, dubbed Still Giving at 50, found that 28 per cent of people who have lived for more than half a century seek more adventures than they did years ago.
With such an appetite for excitement, some may be tempted by adventure holidays to far-flung destinations.
Indeed, the study revealed that 30 per cent of over-50s plan to grow old disgracefully like Hollywood actor Jack Nicholson.
And it was Nicholson who - alongside Morgan Freeman - appeared in a film about growing old, where the men tried to experience as many new thrills as they could before they passed away.
The 2007 movie The Bucket List saw the actors' characters attempt skydiving, as well as climb the pyramids in Egypt - two adventure holiday pursuits that today's over-50s may want to experience.
