Holiday tours to Egypt have become extremely popular among travellers.
The destination has seen the biggest growth in sales figures at the travel agent, with Greece coming in second place in the rankings, Sunshine has revealed.
A possible reason for this could be the recent improved access to the White Med region of the country.
According to Khaled Ramy, director of the Egyptian State Tourist Office, this area offers "beautiful shores, crystal clear waters, leisure, water sports, relaxation plus culture".
He added that the nation is "great" for those looking to head out on a luxury holiday.
In addition, trips to Turkey and Portugal seem to be particularly appealing to those looking for a getaway this year, the Sunshine statistics showed.
Furthermore, the figures demonstrated that British travellers could be opting for holiday locations away from more traditional tourist hotspots, as 59 per cent of customers looking to visit somewhere that has more of a foreign atmosphere.
