According to the nation's official tourist board, the famous Pera Palace, which is situated in 2010 European Capital of Culture Istanbul, is undergoing a vast refurbishment project to restore it to its former glory.
The organisation said that the structure was built in 1892 and was one of the most luxurious hotels of its time.
In addition, the body stated that improvements are being made to a wide range of roads and railways across the country, which could make it easier for travellers to explore while on holiday.
Furthermore, health tourism might be set for a boost, after it was announced that the second Health, Spa & Wellness, Thalasso, Thermal and Medical Tourism Exhibition will take place at the Antalya Expo Centre from March 4th to 6th.
