Travellers who love nothing more than witnessing rare and beautiful wildlife in its spectacular natural habitat might be interested in an adventure to Brazil. Wildlife Worldwide recently released details of the Festival of Wildlife 2010, which is set to take place from September 10th to 18th in the country's Pantanal. The festival will include workshops, wildlife viewing, presentations and master-classes and explorers will make their way through the vast region by vehicle, boat, foot and horseback.
Imaginative explorers who want to get away for a combination of adventure and travel might want to consider Brazil as their next destination, following comments from the country's Brazilian Tourist Office. According to Glauco Chris Fuzinatto, director of UK and Ireland for the body, the South American location has something for everyone, whether they are interested in luxury travel, ecotourism or gap year trips. He added that culture is the one of the country's main draw.
Travel and adventure have a big part to play in Peru, according to PromPeru, the commission on the promotion of the country for export and tourism. Daniela Resenterra, spokesperson for the body, explained that there is a lot for visitors to see other than the iconic Machu Picchu, such as the Colca Canyons. Off the beaten track, he said that the gorges are twice as deep as the Grand Canyon and are a "relatively unknown" part of the country. In addition, Mr Resenterra stated that Peru is a great destination for adventure travel.
