Travellers who love nothing more than witnessing rare and beautiful wildlife in its spectacular natural habitat might be interested in an adventure to Brazil.
Wildlife Worldwide recently released details of the Festival of Wildlife 2010, which is set to take place from September 10th to 18th in the country's Pantanal.
The festival will include workshops, wildlife viewing, presentations and master-classes and explorers will make their way through the vast region by vehicle, boat, foot and horseback.
According to the company, the Pantanal is "one of the world's largest wetland areas and home to a thousand species of bird, 400 species of fish (including the infamous Piranha), 300 species of mammal and 480 species of reptile".
Other spectacular species inhabiting the region include caiman, capybaras, giant anteaters and monkeys.
The area lies south of the Amazon basin and extends for millions of hectares, through central-western Brazil, to eastern Paraguay and eastern Bolivia.
