The number of travellers heading to Singapore for a small group holiday or adventure trip could be set for a surge in 2010, following predictions by the region's official tourist board.
According to the body, between 11.5 million and 12.5 million visitors are expected to visit the location over the course of the year due to a record-breaking January.
In the first month of 2010, the number of holidaymakers entering Singapore saw an annual growth of 17.6 per cent, with seven per cent more arrivals coming from the UK, it revealed.
Commenting on the figures, the organisation's area director for northern and western Europe Eunice Yeo said: "This is a milestone year for Singapore. With the launch of yet more new attractions and events, Singapore continues to offer an increasingly vibrant and diverse tourism landscape."
Imaginative travellers on a family adventure holiday may be interested in heading to the region's night safari or the Wild Wild Wet water theme park.
