Travellers looking to embark on an adventure holiday this year could find that destinations outside of the eurozone offer the best value for money.
It was recently revealed by flight comparison service SkyScanner that locations in Thailand, South Africa, Egypt and Turkey all featured in its Flight Trends 2010 list.
And Bob Atkinson, travel expert from travelsupermarket.com, explained that one reason for their popularity may be their affordability.
"It's the non-eurozones that tend to be offering better value overall; North Africa, Eastern Europe, Bulgaria, those kind of places," he added.
He went on to say that mid-haul destinations such as Morocco, Egypt and Turkey are increasingly in demand among British holidaymakers due to a growing number of budget flights and tours being made available by firms.
Imaginative explorers could therefore find that heading to these destinations in search of adventure and travel is the perfect way to save money on their trip.
