Turkey, Egypt and Spain are among the most popular destinations for British holidaymakers this spring, according to Holiday Extras.
"I think increasingly people are looking outside the eurozone and the dollarzone where they can get a slightly better rate for their pound," said Mike Whitling, managing editor at the holiday add-on company.
However, Spain has been revealed as the most-booked holiday location in the last month and will always be a popular destination, he added.
Research from the firm in April indicated some 18 per cent of people travelling from the UK would opt for mainland Europe this season - but 13 per cent claimed they would be considering a long-haul destination such as Tunisia, Egypt or Turkey.
Of the people surveyed, 48 per cent of people stated that their choice of spring holiday destination would be influenced by "warm weather" and 31 per cent said they were planning on going abroad.
