Travellers who enjoy heading to the water in search of their catch of the day have been given hints on the best locations for fishing trips.
Writing in the Guardian, Ruaridh Nicoll firstly suggested taking an expedition in Mozambique, where visitors can try their hand at catching exotic tiger fish in the idyllic surroundings of the south African country.
Lonely Planet proposes going to Archipelago de Bazaruto a "tropical paradise", which has beautiful clear blue waters.
In addition, Mr Nicoll advised that Cuba is an ideal fishing destination for keen salt-water anglers. He explained that casting off on the Zapata swamps is "most fun", but also encouraged travellers to visit Jardines de la Reina and fish for tarpon that could be as large as 60kg.
People taking a trip to the country without their bait and rods have also been given tips on where to visit by Lonely Planet, with its top pick being Las Terrazas, complete with an eco-lodge and model village in spectacular, unspoiled surroundings.
